Forest-sector facilities may require shop-fabricated steel and piping components for maintenance, equipment replacement, facility upgrades, process changes, or expansion. A First Nation-owned fabrication company is available to produce stainless steel and carbon steel process piping, structural steel assemblies, platforms, handrails, supports, skids, and related industrial components. Services include fabrication, welding, quality control, and shop testing. Installation and field services are excluded.
4289-01: Collaborative Forest Governance & Landscape Planning Pathway
A BC Registered Professional Forester is seeking to collaborate with First Nations to explore project ideas related to strategic and landscape-level forest planning, culturally grounded stewardship indicators, and engagement with government and stakeholders. Collaboration may include developing project scope, monitoring and evaluation approaches, applied research, and identifying funding pathways related to forest policy, governance, cumulative effects, forest carbon, climate finance, and ESG opportunities.
4288-01: Partnership Opportunity for Fire Suppression and Deployment Services
A consortium of a fire suppression manufacturer and a First Nation-led entity seeks to partner with BC First Nations on wildfire response and protection. The opportunity involves a certified 100% bio-based water enhancer hydrogel for fire suppression, cultural burning, and structure protection. The opportunity is structured as a co-development partnership, combining technical expertise with deployment support to enable First Nations to lead delivery, training, and application in wildfire management.

This opportunity invites BC First Nations in the Omineca and Cariboo regions to explore establishing an equity-based joint venture harvesting company. The proposed model centers shared governance, revenue participation, workforce development, and long-term economic benefit. This opportunity involves supplying custom-cut SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) lumber products to meet an identified export market demand. A First Nation-owned or affiliated sawmill partner is sought to support ongoing production of specified dimensions and grades, with indicative volumes of approximately 900 MBF per month. The opportunity may support long-term supply alignment and market access for participating operations.
4286-02: Export Market Supply Pathway (Stage 2 – Market Entry): High-Volume SPF Lumber Production Opportunity
This opportunity involves supplying custom-cut SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) lumber products to meet identified export market demand. A First Nation-owned or affiliated sawmill partner is sought to produce specified dimensions and grades, including 30mm thickness profiles in multiple widths and lengths. Indicative volume is approximately 3,500 MBF per month. The opportunity may support long-term production alignment and access to established export markets.
4286-03: Export Market Supply Pathway (Stage 2 – Market Entry): Western Red Cedar Cant Supply Opportunity
This opportunity involves supplying Western Red Cedar cants (partially processed, squared logs) to meet identified export market demand. A First Nation harvesting or log processing operation is sought to provide cants with specified characteristics, including varying lengths and diameters, with or without bark allowance. The opportunity may support ongoing supply alignment and access to established export markets.
4285-01: Forestry Monitoring, Surveying & Stewardship Support Partnerships
Opportunities are being explored to support forestry monitoring, surveying, and stewardship activities in remote or difficult-to-access areas. Activities may include drone-based imagery, LiDAR-supported analysis, site surveys, and reporting to inform operational planning and long-term management. Engagement may involve pilot projects, co-development approaches, and ongoing monitoring initiatives aligned with First Nation priorities.
4285-02: Pilot-Scale Wildfire Restoration & Ecological Recovery Partnerships
Opportunities are being explored to support wildfire restoration and ecological recovery in remote or difficult-to-access areas. Activities may include site assessment, aerial deployment of native species, and post-project monitoring. Engagement may involve pilot projects, co-development approaches, and longer-term restoration initiatives aligned with First Nation priorities and land stewardship objectives.
4283-01: Innovative Fibre Utilization Opportunities in Northwestern British Columbia
A First Nation organization in the Skeena–Stikine region is exploring innovative and scalable uses for underutilized wood fibre, including hemlock, cottonwood, birch, aspen, waste wood, and non-sawlog material. The opportunity seeks subject matter expertise to identify viable value-added products, local energy solutions, and sustainable building materials that could support development of a regional processing facility while maximizing value from local forest resources.
4284-01: First Nations–Industry Partnership for Log Supply, Custom Cutting, and Lumber Sales

4282-01: Vertical Partnerships in the Forestry Value Chain (Harvesting to Lumber Production)
An opportunity is being explored to form vertical partnerships that support First Nations participation across the forestry value chain, from harvesting through lumber production. The concept involves collaboration on log and lumber analysis, operational decision-making, and access to established processing capacity, alongside potential market, and commercialization support. Partnerships would be structured around aligned values, transparency, and shared commercial objectives, with cultural knowledge informing participation where appropriate.
4281-01: Collaborative Prefabricated Housing Solutions utilizing First Nations Wood Products
Opportunity to explore prefabricated, panelized, or modular housing using wood products sourced from BC First Nations. Homes would be co-developed with participating Nations and installed by First Nation–affiliated companies. Includes potential education and training pathways in design, carpentry, and installation. Intended to support housing delivery, local employment, and value-added wood utilization.
4280-01: Trade Commissioner Service Opportunity
Opportunity for BC First Nation–owned forestry and wood product enterprises to access free federal export advisory support for international market development. Services include market intelligence, introductions to contacts such as customers, specifiers and distributors, legal and regulatory guidance, customs and tariff advice, in-market trade shows and events, problem solving and assistance in developing your export strategy. Services are delivered through Canada’s global network of embassies and consulates. All inquiries will remain confidential.
4280-02: CanExport SMEs Funding Program
Federal export development funding covers 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $50,000, for eligible Canadian SMEs pursuing new international markets. Eligible activities include travel for meetings or trade events, translation or adaptation of marketing materials, contractual agreements, consulting services, and intellectual property protection. Current intake closes August 31, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
4279-01: First Nations-Led Forestry Stewardship Partnership Opportunity
A First Nation–owned forestry stewardship enterprise seeking Nation-led partnerships in wildfire mitigation, post-disturbance rehabilitation, invasive species prevention and response planning, Pre-Field Reviews (PFR), Archaeological Overview Assessments (AOA), environmental compliance oversight, logging road development and maintenance, and culturally grounded contractor orientation. Focused on strengthening prevention-first governance and long-term territorial resilience in the Thompson–Okanagan region.
4278-01: Fibre Utilization Pilot for Wildfire Risk Reduction
This opportunity explores a First Nations–directed pilot focused on utilizing low-value and at-risk forest fibre to support wildfire risk reduction and community-based economic activity. The initiative centers local knowledge and may include hands-on learning and employment pathways for youth, subject to Nation direction. The focus is on applied restoration activities that support forest recovery and long-term land stewardship following wildfire. 4276-01: Biofuel Zone Development Opportunity
Biofuel Development Opportunity (BDO) Zone assessments help communities evaluate whether local biomass resources, infrastructure, and supply chain conditions may support future bio-based manufacturing or biofuel development opportunities. The process is intended to support early-stage opportunity exploration, investment readiness, and potential future partnership or funding pathways related to the bioeconomy. Participation is voluntary and Nation-led.
4277-01: Forest Fertilization & Commercial Forests Opportunity
This opportunity invites BC First Nations with forest tenure, forest management responsibilities, or Nation-owned forestry companies to explore a partnership to undertake a pilot-scale operational forest fertilization project on managed forest lands. The pilot would focus on improving tree growth, stand productivity, and soil nutrient conditions within commercial forests, with the intent of informing longer-term operational application and silviculture practices through field implementation and monitoring aligned with established forestry standards.
4277-02: Healing Degraded Rangeland Opportunity
This opportunity invites BC First Nations with rangeland management responsibilities, forest or range tenure, or Nation-owned land-based companies to explore a partnership to undertake pilot-scale rangeland restoration projects. The focus is on healing degraded rangelands and improving long-term land productivity through applied restoration practices. Pilot outcomes are intended to inform longer-term operational approaches to rangeland stewardship and land management.
4277-03: Utilizing Residual Fibre & Forest Processing Residuals in Restoration Opportunity
This opportunity invites BC First Nations with forest tenure, forest management responsibilities, Nation-owned forestry or processing companies to explore a partnership to pilot restoration projects that utilize residual fibre and forest processing by-products (sawmill and pulpmill residues, chips, bark, or other wood residuals). The focus is on applying residual materials to support land and ecosystem recovery through practical, field-based restoration efforts. Pilot outcomes are intended to inform future restoration and stewardship approaches through applied implementation and monitoring.
4275-01: BC Mass Timber & Prefabrication Opportunity
A BC-based mass timber and prefabrication company is seeking to partner with First Nation communities to develop sustainable, pre-fabricated solid wood wall systems using locally sourced fibre. Through a collaborative approach, participating Nations would provide milled lumber from their traditional territories. The proponent would kiln-dry and fabricate this material into high-quality, ready-to-assemble solid wood wall panels. Panels would be returned to the community, supported by hands-on training and technical guidance to enable local crews to assemble the systems.

4273-01: Primary Forestry Operations & Partnerships
A well established forest-sector company is seeking a First Nation partner to advance low-impact commercial thinning, wildfire-risk-reduction harvesting, and fibre-utilization as a long-term project in the Southern Interior. The opportunity may include selective harvesting, wildfire salvage, and full stump-to-dump delivery supported by modern equipment and advanced safety systems.
